Following my top home decor trends for Spring, it’s time to consider Spring table decor. Whether for Easter, Mother’s Day, a birthday or just a get-together with family and friends, there’s nothing lovelier than welcoming the new season with a colourful tablescape. This Spring I’m focussing on pastels, scallops and stripes, with some top picks to get the look.

Creating a Spring table
As you may know, I love creating a themed tablescape. In fact, I’ve already outlined my five-step-guide to creating a tablescape for both Halloween and Christmas. The essentials are –
- Tableware – all the stuff you can use year-round, tablecloths, napkins, plates, cutlery.
- Glassware – tumblers, wine glasses, jugs and vases.
- Candles – essential to add atmosphere and height to any table.
- Greenery – soften the look and bring colour to the table.
- Accessories – any fun decorations or quirky objects that pull the whole theme together.
Adding spring colour
For colourful Spring table decor opt for pastel shades such as sky blue, dusky pink, peach, sage green and yellow. Colourful candles and tinted glassware are particularly on trend at the moment.

Scalloped spring table decor
The trend for scallops in interiors continues, with scalloped plates, bowls, napkins and placemats all big this year. They are perfect for Spring adding a fun, whimsical vibe to proceedings. Why not add ric rac (waved or zigzag trim) to your existing table linens?
Striped spring table decor
Also perfect for Spring? Stripes! Opt for candy-coloured, pastel tones or contrasting colours for a dopamine decor vibe.

If opting for fresh flowers then daffodils, tulips and hyacinths are all classic choices for Spring. Alternatively, dried flowers will last all season or artificial flowers will last for years. Go for a cottage garden vibe with sweet peas, dahlias, poppies or peonies.
