Regular readers will know that I love a good Christmas decorating theme. However, when it comes to the tree things are rather different. My collection of tree decorations dates back years. Some belonged to my Grandmother, some I remember from my childhood and some have been gifts from friends. I like to add one or two new Christmas tree decorations every year, so overall my collection is pretty eclectic. So long as it makes me smile, it goes on the tree!
Therefore anything from the weird and wonderful range of novelty tree decorations available today would fit right in. Traditional festive characters such as Santa or Frosty can be joined by flamingos, sloths or llamas. Holly and mistletoe can hang alongside pineapples and cacti. Angels can ride unicorns and rainbows.
I’m also seeing lots of food and drink themed decorations this year. Keep the festive spirit alive with your favourite holiday tipple. Give your foodie pal an avocado or even an aubergine (oo-er!).
