It’s turned colder this week and a few days ago I found myself hunting for slippers. This led to the realisation that I need a new pair of slippers, but also (naturally!) to the creation of this snug little nook in the corner. There’s just something about Autumn that has me craving a cosy spot to curl up in. It’s out with fresh Summer vibes and in with warmer Autumn hues, snugly blankets and velvet cushions.
With new AW ranges beginning to arrive in stores what better time to consider how to create that cosy feeling in your home this Autumn. There’s nothing better than having somewhere to snuggle up at the end of the day and some small changes are all you need. A few key accessories can completely change the feel of a room.
That Cosy Feeling
George at ASDA have created this enticing spot with the addition of some funky cushions. The more traditional woodland motif is given a contemporary feel by pairing it with jewel tones and copper accents.
Look for warmer tones such as mustard, amber or berry in wool or velvet to bring a touch of luxury. Habitat have created a really sumptuous look by combining gold with orange velvet.
Of course, for a truly cosy feel a blanket is essential. Lindsay Marcella has turned the cosiness up to the max with this cushion and blanket combo. Look for throws with tassels or pom poms to really stay on trend.
